A Little About Us

The FACS Foundation plays an important role in FACS’ vision of a community where children, youth, adults and families achieve their full potential in a safe and supportive environment. The Foundation provides enrichments and opportunities that reinforce FACS’ mission to protect, support and strengthen Niagara’s kids as they grow into the future adults & families of our community. Your support of the FACS Foundation enables us to provide opportunities to children and youth that they would not otherwise have, empowering them for the future.

New Initiatives to Help Niagara’s Families

As we look to the future and anticipate needs for support, we will be planning to address youth homelessness, implement recruitment strategies for foster families and volunteers, update family visiting rooms and enhance programs dedicated to youth.

Because We All Know It Takes A Village

We can’t do it alone. Our Foundation and FACS depend on community support to help us realize our vision. Our staff, foster parents, volunteers and generous donors help make it possible.

  • 208 active volunteers tutored, mentored, cuddled babies in hospital, provided transportation, knitted, served on our boards and raised funds
  • Volunteers donated 66,509 hours of service and drove 2,652,387 km transporting families and kids to visits and appointments
  • Our 140 foster families opened their homes to a monthly average of 482 children in Niagara
  • 29 children found “forever families” with adoptive parents
  • Our 400+ staff assisted 4,970 families and helped 8,607 children to ensure their care and safety

Champion for Youth – $250

Every dollar helps. Your donation of $250 can help send a kid to camp, buy books for a youth in college or purchase refreshments for a Volunteer/Foster Parent Appreciation event.

If your business wishes to provide products or services (i.e. audio visual, decorating, technical, swag bags, centrepieces, printing, advertising), please contact our office to discuss a customized sponsor benefit package.

Auction Items
Donations of products or services will be showcased as follows:

  • Little Luxuries ($20 – $49) contributors will be acknowledged in the gala program
  • Silent Auction ($50 – $999) contributors will be acknowledged in the gala program, Annual Report and website
  • Live Auction ($1,000+) contributions will be acknowledged in the gala program (including logo), Annual Report and website

Make a Donation
The need is ongoing. You can make a donation to FACS Foundation at any time, in any amount by calling us or visiting our web site. You can direct your donation to camp, education or your area of interest. Ask us about Planned Giving and how you can leave a legacy for the future.
