Following are some of the employment opportunities we offer at FACS Niagara:

Child Protection Workers provide front-line social work services to children and their families.

Investigation and Assessment Workers investigate child protection concerns; assessing the immediate safety of children, determining service eligibility and response times, verifying protection concerns, and assessing the risk of future harm.

Ongoing Service Workers work with and support families and children who require the continued involvement of the Society; developing a risk reduction service plan and applying strategies to engage and empower the family in constructive casework.

Children in Care Workers work with children who are placed in the Society's care; developing permanency plans for the child, assessing the child's needs and development while maintaining a child-parent relationship.

Foster Care Resources and Adoption Workers recruit and provide ongoing service to foster parent and adoption applicants.

Qualifications: B.S.W. or M.S.W.

Child Welfare Supervisors
Provide ongoing consultation and supervision to a team of Child Protection Workers to ensure effective service delivery to our clients.
Qualifications: M.S.W. with five years experience in the field of child welfare.

Residential Childcare Workers
Childcare Workers provide ongoing care to resident children in an agency run group home setting. Shift work required.
Qualifications: B.A. or Child & Youth Worker diploma required.

Early Learning & Parenting Programs and Ontario Early Years Program
The agency operates Day Nursery/Parent Enrichment Programs at sites throughout the region as well as an Ontario Early Years Program in Welland.
Qualifications: Early Childhood Education diploma (qualifications vary dependent on position)

Administrative Personnel
Support staff provide secretarial, accounting, and information services that strengthen the delivery of service to our clients.
Qualifications: Vary dependent on position
